Narrative:

Due to events of 9/tue/01, airspace had been closed. On 9/wed/01 information I heard was all towered airports and commercial flts were grounded. Nothing about antique and sport aviation. Flew 6.5 miles due west to charlotte-beach (07G) for fuel. After I landed and was preparing to fuel my airplane, a detective and one local police officer approached and asked what I was doing. I told them. The local officer asked for identification, showed driver's license. They informed me that airspace was closed to all aircraft and asked me not to leave. I thanked them, they left. Aircraft remained at O7G. Officer said they might need to inform FAA. I said that wasn't necessary, since I now had correct information. On 9/thu/01 approximately XA20, FSDO inspector phoned to discuss occurrence. I listened and agreed to call FSS prior to every flight. Inspector also said the FAA may attempt a violation, but in the history of the FAA nothing of this nature has ever happened and a new ruling would have to be made prior to a violation.
