Narrative:

Normal approach to runway 25R with a side step to runway 25L 'after the stadium' on speed. Experienced a 'sinker' upon crossing over the blast pad at the eastern end of runway 25L. I applied additional power and pitch to arrest the sink rate. A normal descent rate was re-obtained. Upon touching down, the airplane bounced into the air. I applied minimal power to soften the next touchdown. The aircraft touched down again at normal body angle. Speed brakes and reversers were deployed. We exited the runway at taxiway F2. Upon arriving at the gate flight attendant called the cockpit and spoke with first officer. First officer relayed the message to me. The 3 of us looked at each other with a 'that's weird, nothing seemed out of the ordinary' look. I went to look at the tail skid. The clip on the bottom cylinder was missing. There appeared to be minimal dirt missing from the metal plate on the tail skid. I contacted maintenance and the fom as required by the fom. We (the 3 pilots) then proceeded to our layover hotel.

Narrative: NORMAL APCH TO RWY 25R WITH A SIDE STEP TO RWY 25L 'AFTER THE STADIUM' ON SPD. EXPERIENCED A 'SINKER' UPON XING OVER THE BLAST PAD AT THE EASTERN END OF RWY 25L. I APPLIED ADDITIONAL PWR AND PITCH TO ARREST THE SINK RATE. A NORMAL DSCNT RATE WAS RE-OBTAINED. UPON TOUCHING DOWN, THE AIRPLANE BOUNCED INTO THE AIR. I APPLIED MINIMAL PWR TO SOFTEN THE NEXT TOUCHDOWN. THE ACFT TOUCHED DOWN AGAIN AT NORMAL BODY ANGLE. SPD BRAKES AND REVERSERS WERE DEPLOYED. WE EXITED THE RWY AT TXWY F2. UPON ARRIVING AT THE GATE FLT ATTENDANT CALLED THE COCKPIT AND SPOKE WITH FO. FO RELAYED THE MESSAGE TO ME. I CONTACTED MAINT AND THE FOM AS REQUIRED BY THE FOM. WE (THE 3 PLTS) THEN PROCEEDED TO OUR LAYOVER HOTEL.
