Narrative:
Ckb tower was closed and we had to get clearance through FSS. Distracted by this we neglected to ensure there was a takeoff alternate on our dispatch release/flight plan and we departed uneventfully. A takeoff alternate was required with the visibility at 1/4 mi, we didn't have one.

Narrative: CKB TWR WAS CLOSED AND WE HAD TO GET CLRNC THROUGH FSS. DISTRACTED BY THIS WE NEGLECTED TO ENSURE THERE WAS A TKOF ALTERNATE ON OUR DISPATCH RELEASE/FLT PLAN AND WE DEPARTED UNEVENTFULLY. A TKOF ALTERNATE WAS REQUIRED WITH THE VISIBILITY AT 1/4 MI, WE DIDN'T HAVE ONE.
