Narrative:

While configuring aircraft for landing, EICAS message 'trailing edge flap disagreement' and 'trailing edge flaps' light illuminated, with flaps 15 degrees at +/-2000 ft MSL. Since normal deployment of flaps was disabled, a go around was executed. I was PF (captain). The first officer and I complied with cockpit operating manual procedures, restoring normal power (hydraulic) to flaps. A normal 30 degree flaps landing was made. A maintenance write-up was initiated against the flaps to ensure the cause of the lights was not simply the flap handle possibly remaining out of the detent longer than 25 seconds.
