We were given a crossing restr. I advised the captain it would be close. We said 'ah, we'll make it.' a little bit later we said 'it'll be close enough.' he missed it by a few hundred ft and 1 mi. What kind of attitude is 'it will be close enough?' what do you do as a probationary first officer with a captain with that kind of attitude?

Narrative: WE WERE GIVEN A XING RESTR. I ADVISED THE CAPT IT WOULD BE CLOSE. WE SAID 'AH, WE'LL MAKE IT.' A LITTLE BIT LATER WE SAID 'IT'LL BE CLOSE ENOUGH.'
