Narrative:

I was conducting IOE for an initial captain. The trainee bounced the landing and executed a go around, which was poor judgement on his part. There was also traffic arriving to an intersecting runway which we climbed over. The go around procedure itself was not very good. The FAA was also conducting an observation of this flight. They (fed) stated that the trainee did not pass his observation. I agreed that the trainee needed more IOE and was not ready for upgrade. Also, during the debrief, the fed asked a question about our route of flight. He suspected we may have been off course, but I am certain we were not. ATC never stated or advised we were off course. The fed also stated his headset was 'cutting out' periodically so he may have heard our clearance wrong.
