Narrative:

At clean-up, going to flaps 'up,' the EICAS message of leading edge flap asymmetry came on. Appropriate checklists and fuel dump were accomplished. A normal landing was done back at cdg, because the problem cleared after the aircraft was configured for landing. A smooth landing, overweight landing inspection accomplished. The aircraft was signed off and redispatched. Supplemental information from acn 506759: the captain was flying the aircraft and kept it below 240 KTS while we analyzed the situation. He continued to fly the airplane while the other first officer and I ran the appropriate checklists. Maintenance met the aircraft and did the necessary repairs. Supplemental information from acn 506757: flap retraction 1 to up triggered leading edge flap asymmetry EICAS message. Entered holding at amoga/10000 ft. Declared emergency. Turned aircraft after necessary repairs 'repeat write-up.'
