Narrative:

Following a normal takeoff, I called for gear up. We accelerated and just after calling for flaps from 5 degrees to 1 degree, the captain said, 'ok, we have a problem.' I looked at the center display and saw the EICAS 'gear disagreement' message. I continued to fly the airplane as he monitored the problem. After about 30 seconds, the noise went away and I looked and the display showed 'gear up.' the captain told me to fly the airplane and take the radio, and to ask for local vectors while he talked to the maintenance controller. I leveled off at 10000 ft on a north vector, and kept the speed at 260 KTS after cleaning up the flaps and accomplishing the after takeoff check. After discussion with the maintenance controller, slowed to 250 KTS and the captain put the gear down normally. After a short time, we raised the gear handle again and the gear was slow coming up, though no EICAS appeared. The captain made the decision to return to ZZZ, so we asked for vectors to final and made a normal approach and landing.

Title: B777-200B CREW HAD AN EICAS MESSAGE 'GEAR DISAGREEMENT.' THE CREW RETURNED TO THEIR DEP ARPT.

Narrative: FOLLOWING A NORMAL TKOF, I CALLED FOR GEAR UP. WE ACCELERATED AND JUST AFTER CALLING FOR FLAPS FROM 5 DEGS TO 1 DEG, THE CAPT SAID, 'OK, WE HAVE A PROB.' I LOOKED AT THE CTR DISPLAY AND SAW THE EICAS 'GEAR DISAGREEMENT' MESSAGE. I CONTINUED TO FLY THE AIRPLANE AS HE MONITORED THE PROB. AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS, THE NOISE WENT AWAY AND I LOOKED AND THE DISPLAY SHOWED 'GEAR UP.' THE CAPT TOLD ME TO FLY THE AIRPLANE AND TAKE THE RADIO, AND TO ASK FOR LCL VECTORS WHILE HE TALKED TO THE MAINT CTLR. I LEVELED OFF AT 10000 FT ON A N VECTOR, AND KEPT THE SPD AT 260 KTS AFTER CLEANING UP THE FLAPS AND ACCOMPLISHING THE AFTER TKOF CHK. AFTER DISCUSSION WITH THE MAINT CTLR, SLOWED TO 250 KTS AND THE CAPT PUT THE GEAR DOWN NORMALLY. AFTER A SHORT TIME, WE RAISED THE GEAR HANDLE AGAIN AND THE GEAR WAS SLOW COMING UP, THOUGH NO EICAS APPEARED. THE CAPT MADE THE DECISION TO RETURN TO ZZZ, SO WE ASKED FOR VECTORS TO FINAL AND MADE A NORMAL APCH AND LNDG.
