Narrative:

Flight from bos to iad. En route to dulles, ZNY gave instructions to cross 25 NM north of lrp at FL200. We thought the instructions were to cross 20 NM north of lrp at FL200. Crossed 20 NM north of lrp at FL200 instead of 25 NM north of lrp. No evasive action was directed or taken. Error due to miscoms.
