Narrative:
Aircraft had been grounded at ZZZ on dec/xa/00 for a hydraulic leak. Maintenance fixed the aircraft on jan/xa/01. We ferried the aircraft ZZZ to XXX. The aircraft had not had a daily check since dec/xa/00. Maintenance in abc said the airplane did not need a daily check until it got to XXX because the aircraft did not fly on jan/xa/01 and ZZZ was a non maintenance base. However, I think the mechanics could have easily spent another 20 mins doing a daily check after fixing the hydraulic leak.
