Narrative:

After performing maintenance engine runs, maintenance failed to remove nose landing gear pin. Aircraft departed and returned to gate. Company maintenance manual needs to be updated to eliminate installation of gear pins for engine ground runs. There is no safety concern involved.

Title: A JETSTREAM 41 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE NOSE GEAR PIN LOCKED IN THE DOWN POS.

Narrative: AFTER PERFORMING MAINT ENG RUNS, MAINT FAILED TO REMOVE NOSE LNDG GEAR PIN. ACFT DEPARTED AND RETURNED TO GATE. COMPANY MAINT MANUAL NEEDS TO BE UPDATED TO ELIMINATE INSTALLATION OF GEAR PINS FOR ENG GND RUNS. THERE IS NO SAFETY CONCERN INVOLVED.
