Narrative:

The mht rotating beacon is OTS and has been for over 4 weeks. The air carrier pilots have serious difficulty seeing the airport. This creates more workload on the pilots and controller who have to vector to ILS final approach. This situation is a safety issue and the rotating beacon should be repaired as soon as possible. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter said that the beacon has now been OTS for about 60 days. It is maintained by the airport authority and numerous reports have been submitted for its repair. A NOTAM has been issued and controllers have been operating other airport lighting at maximum setting to aid arriving pilots in identifying the airport.
