Narrative:

We had set up for an ILS to runway 7L lax. We were given a vector to intercept ILS for runway 6R and cleared for approach. First officer flying, I tuned ILS and was setting up FMS for runway 6R. We did not arm the runway 6R ILS and flew through the localizer. I noticed we did not capture and manually flew to a new intercept heading. The overshoot was to about the runway 7L localizer. We should have armed the capture mode sooner and I should not have been setting up the FMS.
