Narrative:

The lzu airport needs the taxiway signs installed and/or repaired. It takes firsthand knowledge of the airport to safely move on the ground. Several taxiway signs are missing and several are broken. For example: the taxiway 'D' sign on the north side of the runway has been laying on its back-facing upward for over 6 months, it is unuseable. Taxiway 'X' is unlabeled as is taxiway 'B'. The typical taxi instruction to a pilot is: 'taxi to runway 25 via foxtrot, hold short at foxtrot.' this means the pilot must actually do this: 1-TAXI onto delta, turn left on x-ray, then right on foxtrot. This is difficult for new pilots because delta and x-ray are not marked. This causes the new pilots to taxi via echo, which is used for aircraft entering the runway. Please fix the taxiway signs and markings at lzu.

Title: MISSING AND UNMAINTAINED TXWY SIGNS RPTED AT KLZU, GA.

Narrative: THE LZU ARPT NEEDS THE TXWY SIGNS INSTALLED AND/OR REPAIRED. IT TAKES FIRSTHAND KNOWLEDGE OF THE ARPT TO SAFELY MOVE ON THE GND. SEVERAL TXWY SIGNS ARE MISSING AND SEVERAL ARE BROKEN. FOR EXAMPLE: THE TXWY 'D' SIGN ON THE N SIDE OF THE RWY HAS BEEN LAYING ON ITS BACK-FACING UPWARD FOR OVER 6 MONTHS, IT IS UNUSEABLE. TXWY 'X' IS UNLABELED AS IS TXWY 'B'. THE TYPICAL TAXI INSTRUCTION TO A PLT IS: 'TAXI TO RWY 25 VIA FOXTROT, HOLD SHORT AT FOXTROT.' THIS MEANS THE PLT MUST ACTUALLY DO THIS: 1-TAXI ONTO DELTA, TURN L ON X-RAY, THEN R ON FOXTROT. THIS IS DIFFICULT FOR NEW PLTS BECAUSE DELTA AND X-RAY ARE NOT MARKED. THIS CAUSES THE NEW PLTS TO TAXI VIA ECHO, WHICH IS USED FOR ACFT ENTERING THE RWY. PLEASE FIX THE TXWY SIGNS AND MARKINGS AT LZU.
