Narrative:

During the month of jul/2000 I was scheduled for 9 days as flight dispatcher, 10 days as staff, 2 special duty days as flight dispatcher for a total of 21. With overtime, the limit of 26 days to work seemed in jeopardy. I questioned management on the interpretation of 'work days' as a dispatcher and if staff time is included. Their response was it was their opinion and understanding that staff time did not affect the 26 day maximum since I was not assigned, nor did I work as a flight dispatcher for more than 26 days. After discussing the matter with our safety representative in flight dispatch it was clarified and brought to management's attention that the 26 day limit is in effect regardless of the staff time worked during a calendar month.
