Narrative:
My screen printer shut down and I was unaware of messages sent by flight X while holding for phl. Screen printer is where dispatch receives all ACARS messages. I also had several other messages from other flights that were unanswered during this time period. Dispatch has no indication that screen printer is not working and it is our primary means of communication with out flights. I later got the screen printer restarted.

Narrative: My screen printer shut down and I was unaware of messages sent by FLT X while holding for PHL. Screen printer is where dispatch receives all ACARS messages. I also had several other messages from other flights that were unanswered during this time period. Dispatch has no indication that screen printer is not working and it is our primary means of communication with out flights. I later got the screen printer restarted.
