Narrative:

On jun/fri/00, aircraft xyz trip abc, ZZZ-cdg ground interrupted after taxi out due to an unusual noise emanating from the area of the rudder pedals. After a complete investigation and system check-out by maintenance, the aircraft was returned to service and re-departed. It was later discovered that the ETOPS check although completed, was not properly entered in the logbook.

Title: A B767 WAS DISPATCHED ON AN ETOPS FLT AFTER A GATE RETURN WITH NO ETOPS CHK ENTRY IN THE LOGBOOK.

Narrative: ON JUN/FRI/00, ACFT XYZ TRIP ABC, ZZZ-CDG GND INTERRUPTED AFTER TAXI OUT DUE TO AN UNUSUAL NOISE EMANATING FROM THE AREA OF THE RUDDER PEDALS. AFTER A COMPLETE INVESTIGATION AND SYS CHK-OUT BY MAINT, THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SVC AND RE-DEPARTED. IT WAS LATER DISCOVERED THAT THE ETOPS CHK ALTHOUGH COMPLETED, WAS NOT PROPERLY ENTERED IN THE LOGBOOK.
