Narrative:
We were taxiing northwest for departure on runway 13 at bismarck, nd. Checklists were all completed 3-4 mins before we would reach the departure end of runway 13. During this period my thoughts drifted from the business at hand to personal family affairs. I believe this occurrence was due to my preoccupation with family matters interfering with my concentration. In addition, I believe fatigue contributed. We had in excess of 14 hours rest, however our departure required an XA00 am wake-up. It is not possible to always fall asleep soundly at the required time to allow 8 hours of quality sleep.
