Narrative:
Missed FL210 altitude restr 75 NM southwest of vulcan due to incorrectly entering restr in the FMC and not xchking the VOR/DME. (Did not get an error message or 'discontinuity' warning from FMC). Diligent xchking of VOR/DME will preclude a future recurrence.

Title: B737 CREW WITH ZTL ARTCC MISSED A XING RESTR DUE TO INCORRECT FMS ENTRY.
Narrative: MISSED FL210 ALT RESTR 75 NM SW OF VULCAN DUE TO INCORRECTLY ENTERING RESTR IN THE FMC AND NOT XCHKING THE VOR/DME. (DID NOT GET AN ERROR MESSAGE OR 'DISCONTINUITY' WARNING FROM FMC). DILIGENT XCHKING OF VOR/DME WILL PRECLUDE A FUTURE RECURRENCE.
