Narrative:

Dab is routing all aircraft going southeast through swbound out the apolo gate if they have filed above 14000 ft. This gate requires us to vector into a corridor approximately 7 1/2 mi wide and 15 mi long. If we are unable to facilitate a handoff to ZMA, there is nowhere to turn the aircraft and ensure IFR separation requirements. This is also causing us to vector aircraft approximately 20 mi over the ocean and adding up to 70 mi of unnecessary flying to a flight. This procedure caused an operational error last month.
