Narrative:

Passenger became intoxicated and began using foul language in a loud tone of voice, hitting the passenger's seat in front of him. He was told he would not be served any more alcohol. He informed the flight attendant he had his own bottle and had been drinking from it already. He was told he couldn't do that. When he became more abusive, the purser was called back to speak to him. She took his bottle from him and he was told to remain in his seat and to control his language. He became more abusive using more aggressive behavior and language. He called the purser a 'xxxxxxx xxxxx.' very abusive language and pushing him. Passenger in first class could hear this exchange as well as those in the rear of the aircraft. Passenger around the man became upset and fearful of his actions. At one point, the purser and a male flight attendant were in the business galley and I felt he was going to hit the purser. However, the male flight attendant stepped between them. As a result of this continued behavior, the captain made a decision to land in bos and have the man removed from the flight. The airplane was met by the state police and the passenger was removed. We then continued on our route to egkk. The passenger showed no sign of being a problem on boarding at dfw. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that they were already over montreal when the captain finally made the decision to get the man off as soon as possible and decided to go to bos. The captain's decision was made after he found out that the man had shoved the male flight attendant. The FAA is investigating, and subsequently has interviewed the male flight attendant. The reporter doesn't know the outcome of the incident.
