Narrative:

Altitude discrepancy. ATC facility: ZAU. ATC cleared our flight to climb to FL370 from FL330. I read back cleared to climb to FL370 and started climb. Passing FL337, controller said to maintain FL330. I told the controller that I read back cleared to climb to FL370. He said that he would check. Upon switching to the next frequency, I once again told the controller that he had cleared the flight to climb to FL370. He at that point said it was his mistake.
