Narrative:

Crew was distracted by other duties and began descent late. Our clearance was to cross 85 mi south of fak at 27000 ft, we crossed 75 mi out of 27000 ft. There was no traffic or TCASII conflict. ATC did not inquire about descent intentions until it was too late to make our crossing restr. A heads up from ATC when he should have known from experience that we needed to begin our descent would have been helpful.
