Narrative:
Just after gear retraction, the #3 engine failed. Accomplished all published procedures, declared an emergency, and landed without incident at dca. Found out later that fuel pump shaft sheared.

Title: B727 HAS ENG FAILURE ON TKOF.
Narrative: JUST AFTER GEAR RETRACTION, THE #3 ENG FAILED. ACCOMPLISHED ALL PUBLISHED PROCS, DECLARED AN EMER, AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AT DCA. FOUND OUT LATER THAT FUEL PUMP SHAFT SHEARED.
