Narrative:

On climb out on SID from clt to atl at approximately 16000 ft at XA00, exceeded 280 KT speed limit depicted on SID. The leg was third leg on a 3 day trip with duty period beginning at XA00. The SID was briefed and the speed restr was overlooked by both captain and first officer. This error was definitely due to fatigue. We were indicating 320 KTS when center queried our speed and informed us we were exceeding the 280 KTS. We leveled off at 17000 ft and allowed to remain at 320 KTS.
