Narrative:

1) exceeded 250 KT speed restriction on hornet 4 departure. 2) problem arose simply by exceeding 250 KTS. 3) discovered when ATC asked speed, and asked us to 'just maintain whatever speed we had.' 4) could have briefed the SID more thoroughly. 5) no corrective actions appropriate at the time. Contributing factor -- runway change at taxi-out, SID was not thoroughly reviewed and re-briefed. Airspeed restriction overlooked due to hurrying and re-directed attention.
