Narrative:

After getting clearance to push back, and getting 'all clear' signal from ground crew, the aircraft pushed back 5 ft from gate and struck a fuel truck. Minimal damage to right wingtip strobe light. Tug and tow bar were hooked up and ground crew was in control of the movement of the aircraft.

Title: MD83 CONTACT FUEL TRUCK ON PUSHBACK SEA.

Narrative: AFTER GETTING CLRNC TO PUSH BACK, AND GETTING 'ALL CLR' SIGNAL FROM GND CREW, THE ACFT PUSHED BACK 5 FT FROM GATE AND STRUCK A FUEL TRUCK. MINIMAL DAMAGE TO R WINGTIP STROBE LIGHT. TUG AND TOW BAR WERE HOOKED UP AND GND CREW WAS IN CTL OF THE MOVEMENT OF THE ACFT.
