Narrative:

As I taxied from ramp to runway 23, I broadcast where I was going and listening to any other traffic on the CTAF. I heard nothing. As I taxied onto the runway, I again broadcast what I was doing. As I rotated from my takeoff roll, I saw a jet coming to a stop on runway 32, short of runway 23. I rotated approximately 700-1000 ft before the intersection and was approximately 200 ft above at time of crossing. I broadcast on CTAF that I was departing the pattern to the north. At that point the crew of the jet commented on the CTAF that they did not appreciate my taking off while they were landing. I explained to them that I had been broadcasting and listening on CTAF, but they did not hear me or I them. Unicom said they heard the jet but not my broadcasts up to that point, and that the broadcasts they were hearing from me were very weak. I will take the weak radio to the shop for chkout and repair.

Title: PA32 PLT CLAIMS HE BROADCAST HIS INTENTIONS ON THE CTAF FREQ TO DEPART RWY 23 AT PLN. AFTER ROTATION, PLT OBSERVED A JET ON RWY 32 STOPPING SHORT OF RWY 23.

Narrative: AS I TAXIED FROM RAMP TO RWY 23, I BROADCAST WHERE I WAS GOING AND LISTENING TO ANY OTHER TFC ON THE CTAF. I HEARD NOTHING. AS I TAXIED ONTO THE RWY, I AGAIN BROADCAST WHAT I WAS DOING. AS I ROTATED FROM MY TKOF ROLL, I SAW A JET COMING TO A STOP ON RWY 32, SHORT OF RWY 23. I ROTATED APPROX 700-1000 FT BEFORE THE INTXN AND WAS APPROX 200 FT ABOVE AT TIME OF XING. I BROADCAST ON CTAF THAT I WAS DEPARTING THE PATTERN TO THE N. AT THAT POINT THE CREW OF THE JET COMMENTED ON THE CTAF THAT THEY DID NOT APPRECIATE MY TAKING OFF WHILE THEY WERE LNDG.
