Narrative:
I approached jwn for northeast landing. In last 10 minutes and 10+ miles; [I] was listening to and broadcasting on unicom/CTAF 122.7 my position and intentions; including approach to land [runway] 20. Winds were light variable; jwn favors [runway] 20 in that condition. I descended to pattern altitude 1;500 ft MSL; slowed; lowered gear; [and] began final to [runway] 20 when a near collision occurred with a mooney departing [runway] 02. After I hollered to; 'tune mooney;' heard one unintelligible syllable. Tune [(jwn)] FBO said they didn't recognize the plane. I called ATC to try to identify aircraft. I made a sharp left turn to evade collision.
