Narrative:

Upon landing on runway 8 at lws, we were instructed to hold short of runway 29. The unique use of markings caused some confusion on my part as to where to hold. Holding short of runway 29 actually involves holding on runway 8/26, an active runway. The current markings leave a space between the holding lines which led me to think that I would hold between the runways, as would be normal, so I wound up crossing one and holding short of the other. Tower then advised me that I had crossed the hold short line. There was 1 C210 cleared for takeoff, but there was never a conflict between our aircraft, since I was holding short of the runway itself. Tower also advised me that they are working on alleviating the problem, so it seems it happens on a regular basis there.
