Narrative:

We had departed runway 22L ewr and were flying the ewr 6 departure with an altitude restr of 2500 ft. Shortly after departure, tower handed us off to departure. Departure was busy, so I was not immediately able to contact them. In the meantime, I was calling out the turn to 190 degrees, flap retraction speeds, and the 2.3 DME, and the turn to 220 degrees. At this time my captain loudly asked 'when the hell I was going to contact departure.' I loudly responded that 'they are talking.' shortly after, I was able to contact departure and they initially did not give us any further instructions. My captain then proceeded to yell and scream at me for 'spoon feeding' him information and not contacting departure sooner. While he was yelling and screaming at me -- with both of our attns needlessly diverted during a critical phase of flight -- he flew above our 2500 ft restr up to 2900 ft when he noticed his error. He quickly stopped yelling and descended the airplane back to 2500 ft. The captain's poor attitude, poor judgement, his lack of CRM understanding and its accumulative effect on human performance, surely led to this incident. This captain is going on my no-fly list! If this situation were to occur again, I will try to pay less attention to the captain's yelling and more to the flying.

Title: B727-200 FLIES THROUGH ASSIGNED ALT DURING FLC INTERPERSONAL DISPUTE AT EWR.

Narrative: WE HAD DEPARTED RWY 22L EWR AND WERE FLYING THE EWR 6 DEP WITH AN ALT RESTR OF 2500 FT. SHORTLY AFTER DEP, TWR HANDED US OFF TO DEP. SHORTLY AFTER, I WAS ABLE TO CONTACT DEP AND THEY INITIALLY DID NOT GIVE US ANY FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. MY CAPT THEN PROCEEDED TO YELL AND SCREAM AT ME FOR 'SPOON FEEDING' HIM INFO AND NOT CONTACTING DEP SOONER. WHILE HE WAS YELLING AND SCREAMING AT ME -- WITH BOTH OF OUR ATTNS NEEDLESSLY DIVERTED DURING A CRITICAL PHASE OF FLT -- HE FLEW ABOVE OUR 2500 FT RESTR UP TO 2900 FT WHEN HE NOTICED HIS ERROR.
