Narrative:

The crew requested, from ind tower, a right turnout on departure, and asked the tower what returns were on their radar. The tower responded that a right turnout for WX would not be a problem and that they had level 2 and level 3 rain showers on radar. The supervisor stated that there were no problems.

Title: A B727-200 FLC BEGAN WX AVOIDANCE TURNS IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF FROM IND. THERE WAS NO CONFLICT AS A RESULT OF THIS TURN.

Narrative: THE CREW REQUESTED, FROM IND TWR, A R TURNOUT ON DEP, AND ASKED THE TWR WHAT RETURNS WERE ON THEIR RADAR. THE TWR RESPONDED THAT A R TURNOUT FOR WX WOULD NOT BE A PROB AND THAT THEY HAD LEVEL 2 AND LEVEL 3 RAIN SHOWERS ON RADAR. THE SUPVR STATED THAT THERE WERE NO PROBS.
