Narrative:

Had just taken off climbing to pattern altitude headed downwind for airport 5 mi away. On downwind, notified by unicom that I needed to extend my downwind so aircraft on final could back taxi on runway. I didn't put the gear down because of extending the downwind. Downwind is close to mountain and a right base. I got involved in low altitude and watching mountains and ht above ground. Because of the long final and power setting, no horn was heard until 1 second prior to touching down with gear up. As soon as I heard the sound I realized too late before hitting the propellers. I shut down engines and came to stop without fire.
