Narrative:

Location: 10 mi northeast aus, tx. Shortly after takeoff, a strong odor of electrical/rubber source noted in cockpit. Shortly thereafter, flight attendants chimed with a report of a similar strong smell throughout aircraft, but strongest near aft lavatory. Emergency was declared. Landed without incident. Nature noted in company procedures. Flight attendants immediately chimed reporting with no problems.
