Narrative:

We were about 2 hours into the flight, which had been a bit choppy that whole time. We had completed our services in the main cabin so the #4 flight attendant and I decided to situation down on the back jump seat for a few mins. The seatbelt sign was on at the time, however, it was actually smooth at that time. Everyone, except for 1 passenger, was seated and buckled up when we hit severe, unexpected turbulence. I flew up and hit the ceiling (along with my coffee!), then came down and landed on my bottom, legs out. The #4 flight attendant tried to pull my left arm as she saw me flying up, but was only able to grab my dress under my left arm (ripped my dress!). The #4 flight attendant did not hit the ceiling, but I think she ended up with me on the floor. It all happened so fast. Luckily, the passenger in the lavatory was fine and everyone else told me they were fine as I walked up and down the aisle to check on each passenger. I have strained my neck, back and reinjured (strained) my left shoulder.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT ON A SUPER 80 RPTED BEING INJURED DURING SEVERE TURB WHEN IN VICINITY OF DFW.

Narrative: WE WERE ABOUT 2 HRS INTO THE FLT, WHICH HAD BEEN A BIT CHOPPY THAT WHOLE TIME. WE HAD COMPLETED OUR SVCS IN THE MAIN CABIN SO THE #4 FLT ATTENDANT AND I DECIDED TO SIT DOWN ON THE BACK JUMP SEAT FOR A FEW MINS. THE SEATBELT SIGN WAS ON AT THE TIME, HOWEVER, IT WAS ACTUALLY SMOOTH AT THAT TIME. EVERYONE, EXCEPT FOR 1 PAX, WAS SEATED AND BUCKLED UP WHEN WE HIT SEVERE, UNEXPECTED TURB. I FLEW UP AND HIT THE CEILING (ALONG WITH MY COFFEE!), THEN CAME DOWN AND LANDED ON MY BOTTOM, LEGS OUT. THE #4 FLT ATTENDANT TRIED TO PULL MY L ARM AS SHE SAW ME FLYING UP, BUT WAS ONLY ABLE TO GRAB MY DRESS UNDER MY L ARM (RIPPED MY DRESS!). THE #4 FLT ATTENDANT DID NOT HIT THE CEILING, BUT I THINK SHE ENDED UP WITH ME ON THE FLOOR. IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST. LUCKILY, THE PAX IN THE LAVATORY WAS FINE AND EVERYONE ELSE TOLD ME THEY WERE FINE AS I WALKED UP AND DOWN THE AISLE TO CHK ON EACH PAX. I HAVE STRAINED MY NECK, BACK AND REINJURED (STRAINED) MY L SHOULDER.
