Narrative:
I understood I was to hold at 10000 ft at bbbar intersection. The controller thought he said hold at 10000 ft at bader intersection. I flew past bader intersection and was almost to bbbar intersection when he asked why I didn't hold at bader intersection. I told him I thought I was supposed to hold at bbbar intersection. He then had me hold at bbbar intersection and shoot the approach. No planes were near me on my tcasi or in sight. I was VFR conditions on top.
