Narrative:

During boarding I was in aft of main cabin setting up the galley. I heard several flight attendant PA's regarding luggage, a purse and a portable phone unclaimed up in first class. It turns out all these pieces belonged to mr and mrs X. Flight attendant #1 later mentioned these passenger came on board and dropped all their belongings by first class galley and proceeded to their seats in main cabin. At departure, there was a lengthy delay on taxiway due to bad WX. In-flight flight attendants were instructed by captain to remain in jump seats for approximately 1/2 hour due to severe turbulence. We were serving towards back of main cabin when mr and mrs X came up with their dirty trays. Flight attendant #4 explained to them we can't take dirty trays since we are still serving and have no place to put them. Ms X immediately spoke to #4 flight attendant in a belligerent tone. She said she needed to use the lavatory. #4 flight attendant explained that we have carts out in the aisle and it would be best if she used the first class lavatory. Ms X started yelling at #4 flight attendant, saying she was just up in first class and they sent her to the back, and that #4 flight attendant better get her communications better with the other flight attendants. She also said #4 flight attendant better get a new attitude. #4 flight attendant was extremely flustered and reached over into galley to call first class to ask if the couple could use the lavatory. The flight attendants said they did not realize the carts were in the aisle and to send the couple up there. #4 flight attendant then told the couple they were more than welcome to use the first class lavatory. Ms X continued to scream at #4 flight attendant that she is not going back up there and insisted we move the carts. She then started calling #4 flight attendant a 'nazi' and 'sky nazi'. Mr X, who was standing behind ms X, stepped up and started speaking harshly at #4 flight attendant. I said to mr X that he was interrupting the service and needed to return to his seat with his tray. He responded, 'don't talk to me like that! I want your names!' I told him I was not giving any names in the middle of the service and to please return to his seat. He then said, 'bullshit, I'll get your names!' #4 flight attendant was visibly upset. I told her to stay in back of aircraft while #5 flight attendant and I finished the service. Many passenger were saying they heard what had happened and felt bad for us. Just about every row had something derogatory to say about this couple. As I got to the back of aircraft, I noticed passenger hugging #4 flight attendant saying 'we love you, don't worry.' many passenger were now writing letters for us and giving us their business cards. #4 flight attendant told the captain about the incident. The captain came out of the cockpit to talk to X's. He told them the name calling and cursing at the flight attendants must stop. The couple insisted they wanted our names and that he was a lawyer and was going to sue. The captain notified flight service to meet the aircraft in dfw. 2 representatives from flight service met the flight. They first heard our side of the story on the jetbridge. We all then met with the X's in the gate area. Flight service representative said she would like to hear the X's side of the story. Ms X, in a very threatening demeanor, said no, she wanted to hear what #4 flight attendant had to say. #4 flight attendant then got emotional and said she wanted an apology for being called a 'nazi'. Ms X said she is a holocaust survivor and she knows a nazi. Ms X yelled #4 flight attendant was a stupid idiot and that she was older than #4 flight attendant. I told ms X that calling us 'nazi's' is defamation of character. Mr X flailed his hand at me saying, 'yes, yes I know all about defamation of character, I'm a lawyer!' he then stood with his back to me and proceeded to talk to service representative #1. He insisted he wanted our names. Representative #1 said she considered the situation a security threat, therefore could not give out names. The X's then stood in front of #4 flight attendant and I, looking at us up and down verbally taking a physical description of us. The captain advised the X's to apologize to the flight attendants and explained to them that they had 1/2 an airplane against them. Our flight back to lga was delayed 1/2 hour because of this incident. #4 flight attendant and I were extremely upset. As we were rolling down runway, I noticed #4 flight attendant was not strapped in her jump seat. I called to her to strap in, but she just threw her hand up at me and looked away. She was in a very bad mental state and was clearly emotionally and physically exhausted. This incident had created a safety threat. I realized in-flight how disturbed I became when 3 times I took my in-flight shoes out of their bags to put them on, but 3 times I placed them back in the bags and in my tote bag. Our meal service was terrible since we forgot most of the items needed on our carts. It was evident #4 flight attendant and I were no longer able to think clearly. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that both cabin attendants wrote company reports and they spoke with their supervisor and the union. The company called them in to discuss the matter but reporter does not know of any follow-up action. Reporter states that the 2 passenger apparently came aboard with an attitude and nothing was going to be right. Supplemental information from acn 427043: company is too big and too proud to have such people on our airplanes. I urge that these passenger be stripped of the privilege of flying on company aircraft.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING 2 PAX WHO WERE OBNOXIOUS AND VOLATILE DURING BOARDING, FLT AND AFTER LNDG. FLT SVC REPRESENTATIVES WERE CALLED TO MEET THE ACFT AND INTERVIEW BOTH THE CABIN ATTENDANTS AND PAX INVOLVED. CAPT LEFT THE COCKPIT TO TRY AND SETTLE THE PAX.

FLT ATTENDANT #4 EXPLAINED TO THEM WE CAN'T TAKE DIRTY TRAYS SINCE WE ARE STILL SERVING AND HAVE NO PLACE TO PUT THEM. MS X IMMEDIATELY SPOKE TO #4 FLT ATTENDANT IN A BELLIGERENT TONE. SHE SAID SHE NEEDED TO USE THE LAVATORY. #4 FLT ATTENDANT EXPLAINED THAT WE HAVE CARTS OUT IN THE AISLE AND IT WOULD BE BEST IF SHE USED THE FIRST CLASS LAVATORY. MS X STARTED YELLING AT #4 FLT ATTENDANT, SAYING SHE WAS JUST UP IN FIRST CLASS AND THEY SENT HER TO THE BACK, AND THAT #4 FLT ATTENDANT BETTER GET HER COMS BETTER WITH THE OTHER FLT ATTENDANTS. SHE ALSO SAID #4 FLT ATTENDANT BETTER GET A NEW ATTITUDE. #4 FLT ATTENDANT WAS EXTREMELY FLUSTERED AND REACHED OVER INTO GALLEY TO CALL FIRST CLASS TO ASK IF THE COUPLE COULD USE THE LAVATORY. THE FLT ATTENDANTS SAID THEY DID NOT REALIZE THE CARTS WERE IN THE AISLE AND TO SEND THE COUPLE UP THERE. #4 FLT ATTENDANT THEN TOLD THE COUPLE THEY WERE MORE THAN WELCOME TO USE THE FIRST CLASS LAVATORY. MS X CONTINUED TO SCREAM AT #4 FLT ATTENDANT THAT SHE IS NOT GOING BACK UP THERE AND INSISTED WE MOVE THE CARTS. SHE THEN STARTED CALLING #4 FLT ATTENDANT A 'NAZI' AND 'SKY NAZI'. MR X, WHO WAS STANDING BEHIND MS X, STEPPED UP AND STARTED SPEAKING HARSHLY AT #4 FLT ATTENDANT. I SAID TO MR X THAT HE WAS INTERRUPTING THE SVC AND NEEDED TO RETURN TO HIS SEAT WITH HIS TRAY. HE RESPONDED, 'DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE THAT! I WANT YOUR NAMES!' I TOLD HIM I WAS NOT GIVING ANY NAMES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SVC AND TO PLEASE RETURN TO HIS SEAT. HE THEN SAID, 'BULLSHIT, I'LL GET YOUR NAMES!' #4 FLT ATTENDANT WAS VISIBLY UPSET. I TOLD HER TO STAY IN BACK OF ACFT WHILE #5 FLT ATTENDANT AND I FINISHED THE SVC. MANY PAX WERE SAYING THEY HEARD WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND FELT BAD FOR US. JUST ABOUT EVERY ROW HAD SOMETHING DEROGATORY TO SAY ABOUT THIS COUPLE. AS I GOT TO THE BACK OF ACFT, I NOTICED PAX HUGGING #4 FLT ATTENDANT SAYING 'WE LOVE YOU, DON'T WORRY.' MANY PAX WERE NOW WRITING LETTERS FOR US AND GIVING US THEIR BUSINESS CARDS. #4 FLT ATTENDANT TOLD THE CAPT ABOUT THE INCIDENT. THE CAPT CAME OUT OF THE COCKPIT TO TALK TO X'S. HE TOLD THEM THE NAME CALLING AND CURSING AT THE FLT ATTENDANTS MUST STOP. THE COUPLE INSISTED THEY WANTED OUR NAMES AND THAT HE WAS A LAWYER AND WAS GOING TO SUE. MS X SAID SHE IS A HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR AND SHE KNOWS A NAZI. MS X YELLED #4 FLT ATTENDANT WAS A STUPID IDIOT AND THAT SHE WAS OLDER THAN #4 FLT ATTENDANT. I TOLD MS X THAT CALLING US 'NAZI'S' IS DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER. MR X FLAILED HIS HAND AT ME SAYING, 'YES, YES I KNOW ALL ABOUT DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER, I'M A LAWYER!' HE THEN STOOD WITH HIS BACK TO ME AND PROCEEDED TO TALK TO SVC REPRESENTATIVE #1. HE INSISTED HE WANTED OUR NAMES. REPRESENTATIVE #1 SAID SHE CONSIDERED THE SIT A SECURITY THREAT, THEREFORE COULD NOT GIVE OUT NAMES. THE X'S THEN STOOD IN FRONT OF #4 FLT ATTENDANT AND I, LOOKING AT US UP AND DOWN VERBALLY TAKING A PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION OF US. THE CAPT ADVISED THE X'S TO APOLOGIZE TO THE FLT ATTENDANTS AND EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT THEY HAD 1/2 AN AIRPLANE AGAINST THEM. OUR FLT BACK TO LGA WAS DELAYED 1/2 HR BECAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT. #4 FLT ATTENDANT AND I WERE EXTREMELY UPSET. AS WE WERE ROLLING DOWN RWY, I NOTICED #4 FLT ATTENDANT WAS NOT STRAPPED IN HER JUMP SEAT. I CALLED TO HER TO STRAP IN, BUT SHE JUST THREW HER HAND UP AT ME AND LOOKED AWAY. SHE WAS IN A VERY BAD MENTAL STATE AND WAS CLRLY EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY EXHAUSTED. THIS INCIDENT HAD CREATED A SAFETY THREAT. I REALIZED INFLT HOW DISTURBED I BECAME WHEN 3 TIMES I TOOK MY INFLT SHOES OUT OF THEIR BAGS TO PUT THEM ON, BUT 3 TIMES I PLACED THEM BACK IN THE BAGS AND IN MY TOTE BAG. OUR MEAL SVC WAS TERRIBLE SINCE WE FORGOT MOST OF THE ITEMS NEEDED ON OUR CARTS. IT WAS EVIDENT #4 FLT ATTENDANT AND I WERE NO LONGER ABLE TO THINK CLRLY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT BOTH CABIN ATTENDANTS WROTE COMPANY RPTS AND THEY SPOKE WITH THEIR SUPVR AND THE UNION. THE COMPANY CALLED THEM IN TO DISCUSS THE MATTER BUT RPTR DOES NOT KNOW OF ANY FOLLOW-UP ACTION. RPTR STATES THAT THE 2 PAX APPARENTLY CAME ABOARD WITH AN ATTITUDE AND NOTHING WAS GOING TO BE RIGHT.
