Narrative:

Early morning flight from phx-sfo. Bay approach cleared us for a visual runway 28L. We never got the handoff to tower or never heard handoff to sfo tower. We landed, contacted ground and nothing was said to us by ATC. (I had set tower frequency in anticipation of the handoff from bay approach to tower in the other radio, but somehow did not remember that we had not been handed off.) factors: early morning departure out of phx and I normally fly nights.
