Narrative:

On a straight-in final for runway 31L at rhv, the tower advised me (approximately 10 mi out) to squawk XXXX and report 2 or 3 mi out. On final I was busy performing my pre landing checklist and talking to my passenger, so I forgot to make the 2- 3 mi report. I landed on runway 31L without incident, and on ground roll, the tower cleared me to land. I then told him that I was already on the ground. Nothing further was mentioned except to hold short of the parallel and to call ground control.
