Narrative:

Controller gave us pilot's discretion to descend to 14000 ft. We were given new center frequency and when we checked on, the new controller asked if we were given a crossing restr of 14000 ft at an intersection ahead. I said no and he came back to me and said the previous controller had issued the crossing restr. I said he had not and that's the event.
