Narrative:

As a reserve pilot, I was called out to take a trip that deadheaded from stl to sjc and had a rest at sfo and then flew from sfo to stl. The trip as printed did not show the limo time from sjc to sfo which would have reduced the rest time by 1 hour. I called the company and told them that I did not think that I was legal to fly this trip from sfo to stl until I had far required rest. They assured me that I was legal for the trip. I do not think that I got legal rest when the limo time is subtracted from the rest time.
