Narrative:

Ground had us taxiing to runway 22R. We were told to taxi up taxiway M and hold short of taxiway right. I was told to do my taxi check and had started when the captain stepped hard on the brakes. He had gone past the hold short line of taxiway right. There was no other traffic and no conflict. The ground controller informed us that we had gone past the hold short line. I will in the future keep one eye out to make sure whoever is taxiing holds short of stated point.
