Narrative:

While on our holding pattern, which was to hold on rochester 040 degree radial northeast at 16000 ft, right turns and 30 mi legs, the copilot and I were discussing our fuel situation and our alternate choices, when I noticed that our outbound holding leg and turn was at 34 DME or 4 mi outside our holding pattern. ZOB also mentioned that while we were correcting immediately. Nothing else was said.
