Narrative:

I, yxyx, changed 1L door slide and installed by mistake a slide for domestic aircraft on an overwater aircraft. I inadvertently installed the slide. I did not know the aircraft was an overwater aircraft. I received the slide which was ordered by the crew chief. I did not check or verify the part number before I installed it. I should have verified the part number. I will insure this will not happen in the future. I will comply with the recommendation of the illustrated parts catalog.
