Narrative:
2 fuel tank luscombe 8A. Left tank was contaminated. Engine quit while 2000 ft MSL over a farming area. Landed in a farmer's alfalfa field. Switched to other tank. Talked to farmer and was ok to take off on 2000+ ft mowed hay field. No problems with landing or takeoff. Found dirt in bowl and cleared, runup ok!
