Narrative:

Talking with approach controller on a high (4000 ft) close in left downwind visual approach. Flight crew was distracted by high rate of descent and short approach. Landed without tower clearance. Noticed an aircraft go around on the intersecting runway. Discovered that we were still on approach frequency when tuning radio to ground frequency. Called tower by phone and was informed of no conflict.
