Narrative:

At XX00 local, jun/xa/98, I flew my last leg, part 91, from bos to btv. Prior to the day's flight, I checked all visible maintenance records kept with the aircraft. I determined that all requirements had been complied with as far as annuals, 100 hours, airworthiness directives and other checks. The following evening I was preparing for a flight and discovered that an airworthiness directive sheet with current airworthiness directives had been stuffed under the current airworthiness directive sheet (record of all airworthiness directives with dates due and signoffs if they have been complied with). I discovered that my previous flight had overflown an airworthiness directive by .5 hours on the hobbs meter. I called my company and grounded the aircraft until the airworthiness directive had been complied with. The aircraft was inspected and the current airworthiness directive was complied with in 2 days. I suggested that all pertinent information kept in the aircraft's log be kept on a single sheet format with individual sleeves. I also discussed this event with our assistant chief pilot who advised me to complete this form.

Title: BE58 PLT FLIES ACFT WITH OVERDUE AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE AT BOS.

Narrative: AT XX00 LCL, JUN/XA/98, I FLEW MY LAST LEG, PART 91, FROM BOS TO BTV. PRIOR TO THE DAY'S FLT, I CHKED ALL VISIBLE MAINT RECORDS KEPT WITH THE ACFT. I DETERMINED THAT ALL REQUIREMENTS HAD BEEN COMPLIED WITH AS FAR AS ANNUALS, 100 HRS, AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES AND OTHER CHKS. THE FOLLOWING EVENING I WAS PREPARING FOR A FLT AND DISCOVERED THAT AN AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE SHEET WITH CURRENT AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES HAD BEEN STUFFED UNDER THE CURRENT AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE SHEET (RECORD OF ALL AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES WITH DATES DUE AND SIGNOFFS IF THEY HAVE BEEN COMPLIED WITH). I DISCOVERED THAT MY PREVIOUS FLT HAD OVERFLOWN AN AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE BY .5 HRS ON THE HOBBS METER. I CALLED MY COMPANY AND GNDED THE ACFT UNTIL THE AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE HAD BEEN COMPLIED WITH. THE ACFT WAS INSPECTED AND THE CURRENT AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE WAS COMPLIED WITH IN 2 DAYS. I SUGGESTED THAT ALL PERTINENT INFO KEPT IN THE ACFT'S LOG BE KEPT ON A SINGLE SHEET FORMAT WITH INDIVIDUAL SLEEVES. I ALSO DISCUSSED THIS EVENT WITH OUR ASSISTANT CHIEF PLT WHO ADVISED ME TO COMPLETE THIS FORM.
