Narrative:

After landing we taxied off first intersection and was told by the tower to 'cross runway 24 (a crossing runway) and taxi to the ramp.' we replied 'cross runway 24 and taxi to ramp.' as we taxied to cross runway 24 I told my student to look both ways before crossing any runway and to expedite as you do. As we looked left we saw a falcon taking off and we brought our aircraft to a full stop past the hold bars. We asked the tower to verify we were cleared to cross and they said we were.
