Narrative:

We were on final approach to runway 24R at day. Due to low ceilings and many other aircraft on the approach segment we were very focused on flying the approach. No one in the cockpit realized that approach control had not xferred us to tower. We subsequently landed without communication or clearance from the tower controller. It wasn't until on the ground clear of the active runway did we realize our error.
