Narrative:

During ILS final to runway 31R we encountered a violent windshear at approximately 2600 ft with extreme turbulence and an increase of 25 KTS. While executing a go around, the windshear warning sounded. Transition to escape maneuver was initiated with gear retracting and flaps at 20 degrees. Aircraft climb stagnated and then as climb began the airspeed immediately increased 25 KTS resulting in flap overspd. While still in very heavy turbulence, assigned altitude of 2500 ft was momentarily exceeded to 2850 ft. Assigned heading deviated by 30 degrees while aircraft recovery procedures were being accomplished. After cleanup, a non eventful divert to ewr was accomplished.

Title: B767 ACFT ON APCH ENCOUNTERED WINDSHEAR AND EXTREME TURB, EXECUTED GAR. AIRSPD STAGNATED THEN INCREASED RAPIDLY RESULTING IN FLAP OVERSPD. FLC HAD DIFFICULTY MAINTAINING HDG AND ALT.

Narrative: DURING ILS FINAL TO RWY 31R WE ENCOUNTERED A VIOLENT WINDSHEAR AT APPROX 2600 FT WITH EXTREME TURB AND AN INCREASE OF 25 KTS. WHILE EXECUTING A GAR, THE WINDSHEAR WARNING SOUNDED. TRANSITION TO ESCAPE MANEUVER WAS INITIATED WITH GEAR RETRACTING AND FLAPS AT 20 DEGS. ACFT CLB STAGNATED AND THEN AS CLB BEGAN THE AIRSPD IMMEDIATELY INCREASED 25 KTS RESULTING IN FLAP OVERSPD. WHILE STILL IN VERY HVY TURB, ASSIGNED ALT OF 2500 FT WAS MOMENTARILY EXCEEDED TO 2850 FT. ASSIGNED HDG DEVIATED BY 30 DEGS WHILE ACFT RECOVERY PROCS WERE BEING ACCOMPLISHED. AFTER CLEANUP, A NON EVENTFUL DIVERT TO EWR WAS ACCOMPLISHED.
